Why Feelings Are Necessary

I get so sick of people questioning the use of emotion in a ministry, church, or any type of setting where real life is happening.

“Jeremiah 17:9- the heart is wickedly deceitful above all else, who can understand it”, they crow.

There are just times when reality is going to contradict all of your learned information, truths, systems, and other malarky. Even for those of us who are more logic-driven and data-driven.

The emotions, especially those that are rooted in the spirit, the brain/mind, amygdalae, the heart, and the reins, are potent imprinters of experience.

And from everything as SRA, DID, CRA, and PTSD, to rape, abortion, war, political abuse, environmental abuse, animal abuse, and social or cultural abuse, feelings are often one of the largest markers in an entity of trauma.

I use the word “entity” because emotions are not just felt in humans. Animals, plants, and the land are all examples of things that possess emotion.

“The trees clap their hands.”

“The cattle went lowing as the carried the ark.”

Etc.

So, to those who are all logic-driven, the following may not make sense for you.

Feelings that have been cleansed and redeemed, contrary to how most Christ-followers, are one of the first early-warning systems in us. And they are designed, in part, not only to enable us to really respond to negative situations, but also to respond to positive situations, so we have this capacity we call “savoring” an experience.

We were made to savor, and that comes through our emotions, which causes neurons to wire together and fire together

When we discount all emotional expression, we potentially hamstring or kill our ability to recover from trauma and wounds that heal.

When we can’t emote well, or when we misjudge an emotional baseline as Bipolar or OCD and then medicate those emotions out of existence with Lithium or some other garbage, we disempower and potentially strip the spirit and/or soul of their ability to recover to a place of whole essence, and thereby render ourselves vulnerable.

A diagnosis may not be heaven’s view of our reality. A diagnosis is not the be-all or end-all.

Our strong emotions were designed as responses to injustice, to celebration, to sexuality, to liberation, and to protection.

Men and women have strong emotions in order to protect, and preserve, and defend. And to discern. And if emotions are made to be discouraged, then the emotional leading of Mercies is irrelevant, and then some critical dynamic of the Mercy experience is to be questioned, and then they as a tribe are to be questioned.

Nonsense.

All of us were made to feel and have feelings to bring us to a place of sensitivity.

And to savor experiences.

And to connect to our timeline. By the way, that hyperlink is to a resource that will help you reconnect your emotions. But, be mindful, your emotions, in fullness, were designed to be as safe as Aslan.

If we do not want our emotions, then we will affect our timelines. Badly. And we will feel the disconnect, whether or not we want to feel that disconnect.

Ironically, even when you don’t feel, you still feel something.

The bottom line: a bad interpretation of Jeremiah 17:9 will not make us any safer. The only thing that will make us safer is if we embrace who we are in fullness and enjoy and savor the FULLNESS of our design.

Savoring transforms the brain.

Savoring leads us into deeper and fuller expressions of worship of and love toward our King.

Savoring is connects us in our left amygdala to the full expression of the awe of G-d, which is a critical component of the life of a follower of Yeshua.

Being Used By G-d

Open full-on rant mode.

“I just want to be used by G-d.”

“Used for the kingdom…”

This concept used to be an effective way to communicate a concept.

But no longer.

We want to be used.

What are we really saying?

Are we saying that we want to beg G-d to treat us like an abused tool in His shop. Do we want to be used up and wear out?

It is better to wear out for Jesus than rust out.

-Maria Woodworth Etter-

Do we not believe that He regularly wants to engage with us in intact and hope that he might occasionally pull us off his pegboard to get that stubborn nail in the board?

Peace Offerings and the Fractal of Two.

Concerning the importance of our reins (kidneys and adrenals) to the L-rd and for them being at peace with Him, we read:

If his offering is a sacrifice of peace offering, if he offers an animal from the herd, male or female, he shall offer it without blemish before the L-RD. And he shall lay his hand on the head of his offering and kill it at the entrance of the tent of meeting, and Aaron’s sons the priests shall throw the blood against the sides of the altar. And from the sacrifice of the peace offering, as a food offering to the LORD, he shall offer the fat covering the entrails and all the fat that is on the entrails, and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them at the loins, and the long lobe of the liver that he shall remove with the kidneys. Then Aaron’s sons shall burn it on the altar on top of the burnt offering, which is on the wood on the fire; it is a food offering with a pleasing aroma to the L-RD.

Leviticus 3:1-5

The Offerings

The above text is part of the text of Leviticus 3, but is representative of the whole sacrifical system. And in the picture of the five main sacrifices, we see the reins of the animal in question being burned. There is no exception in non-avian-animal sacrifices when it comes to the reins; in each of these sacrifice, consistently, the reins are offered up and burned on the Brazen Altar.

This is probably part of the reason why G-d places such a high value on how we treat our reins.

In the above passage, the analogy of the Peace Offering is that to us Father wants to instill in us His wholeness, peace, and stillness (Colossians 3:15, Philippians 4:7).

The Father Does What???

For you formed my inward parts;

From Psalm 139:13 ESV

For the record, the translators of all major translations chickened out in at least one or more places in this verse.

That word translated “formed” is really the most generic Hebrew word describing a commercial transaction. That is, it really means “purchased”.

And “inward parts” is really “reins”. The reins is Early Modern English used to denote the kidneys and the adrenals.

The Hebrew therefore really says “you purchased my reins”.

So, question: why would Father purchase something He already owns?

The Reins In Scripture Are Tied To Covenants

The answer is this: The understanding among those who minister healing and deliverance that includes ministry to the reins is that they are major landing pads for covenants, especially the adrenals.

And because the reins are usually the first organs to respond in a time of crises (by dumping adrenaline)…

Stressful times which would cause us to make covenants and utter words of agreement in response to nasty circumstances…

It seems appropriate that G-d would want those very organs responsible for the first-fruits thougts of our response to a situation to be solidified in covenant with Him.

Therefore, He claims first dibs in us by enshrining them in the sacrificial system AND in surrounding them with the language of purchase.

Reins In the Sacrifical System

The L-rd enscripturates this picture of the importance of the reins through their being routinely burned in sacrifice (Leviticus 1-7). Their place in the sacrificial system shows the reader the value G-d ascribes to our reins.

Plus, because they are so responsive to situations, we can gather that they would also be responsive to Him, and, in fact, they are.

Further, our Hebrew commercial word meaning “to purchase”, קָנָה, or, transliterated, qanah, is used in places like Psalms 139:1. IT DOES NOT MEAN “TO FORM”. It means, “to purchase”. Fruitbat translators.

Okay, David. Rein it in, even though you might want to bean someone in the head.

Ahem.

Deliverance ministers have routinely found in their experiences in dealing with the reins, that covenants attach themselves to the reins, and they have recognized, that, as a result, these organs need a pretty regular spiritual cleansing.

As a result, we have begun to work with the kidneys and bless them, which has an unusual set of side effects. Not the least of which, the kidneys, as they are blessed, begin to release long-stored toxins from them, and they begin to “feel” or make themselves felt, in some cases, after the fashion of kidney stones.

And as a fu there result, in many places we have noticed when ministry is done to the kidenys and adrenals, many of those who are ministered to report being able to think and process problems more rapidly.

As a result of being able to focus on the right problem, and solve it, we attain a greater sense of that frequently-elusive dynamic, which we call “peace.”

Thus, it is worth our investigation of this much-overlooked dynamic and to consider how we might help improve the quality of life of many a person.

Just a few thoughts, gang.

Nathan Leal’s Word About Confused Watchmen

This piece by Nathan Leal is on-point.

As someone who is a prophetic minority, I consider the majority of the words about the political climate since 2015 to be so completely confused, that that attitude and spirit of delusion accounts for the level of inaccuracy in the American “Prophetic Movement”.

Unless those who attempt to walk as prophets repent and reform, there will be no revival. And as a reminder, G-d’s not going back to Asuza Street. Moreover, as I have said and will continue to say….

Revival.

Is.

Not.

The.

Point.

Principles are the point. Walking in the right sets of principles and proper action is the point.

Our current political climate of two poisoned and defiled political parties began unravelling from at least the time they both came into being.

Grace and Peace: The Internal World vs. the External World…

THE CATALYST

Today, I was connecting with my sons on Romans 1, in my intent to take them through as much as I can of Paul’s letter before the summer is done. I was reading to them the prologue, bit by bit, and making commentary, when the common salutation hit me.

Grace and peace

I must have read these words at least a hundred times, and recalled a sermon that was stuck in my spirit from elementary school or middle school, when I was there age. Richard Nussel spoke of χαπις and שׁלום.  The introductions and greetings to both Jews and Gentiles.

Indeed,

“here is a marvelous example of Paul’s Christianizing whatever he put his hand to.  The traditional greeting in the Hellenistic world was chairein–the infinitive of the verb ‘to rejoice,’ but in salutations meaning simply “Greetings!” (see Acts 15:23, Jas. 1:1). In Paul’s hands this has now become charis (“grace”), to which is added the traditional Jewish greeting shalom (“peace”).

Gordon Fee, The New International Commentary on the New Testament: The First Episitle to the Corinthians: Revised Edition, Eerdmans, 2014, p.31.

Paul’s idea to cover both groups in his writing, given the middle wall of partition was broken down (Ephesians 2:14), and Father has made one out of the two.  And now, we will discuss the liberty that happens when we see the two synchronizing together.

PART ONE: GRACE, THE FUEL FOR MISHPAT

Mishpat is the Hebrew word for justice.  I don’t have time to build it out, but if you want further details, see Arthur Burk’s Audio Teaching called A Celebration of G-d.

To sum up that well-executed teaching, mishpat is G-d’s ability to execute.

We have been conditioned to think of grace in many places as “unmerited favor”.  And while that is a true idea, it is undeveloped.  That is one facet of grace.

<cue sarcasm>No joke, I can only handle hearing one truth expressed a single way a few hundred thousand times before it ceases to be as meangingful.

Church, pget beyond the definitions and the frames of the last 50 years, and step into something new. </sarcasm>

Back on track, David.  Tell them the rest of what you heard.

Another facet of grace is found in its Greek word, which is also the root of charismata, which is the word translated “gift”.

A gift is something that you receive from the external world.  And it is given, not earned, ever.

But in order to receive that gift, we have to unpack it fully, and only once we unpack that gift does it change our external world.

Grace is therefore the enablement for us to execute.  It impacts our outside world.  Grace affects how we interact with other humans, ecology, creation, the animals, the plants, the sun, the moon, the stars, the humidity (how many of you have cursed the humidity that causes the citrus groves and lush Floridian ecosystem to be and flourish rather than blessing it to be precisely what Father wants it to be.  When we fully receive grace for the gift it is, we can impact, with our authority, more effectively, the world that surrounds us.  The mishpat of G-d finds its fullness.

Grace, when we recognize it, and accept its unique flavor for the action of the day, provides the foundation for us to partner with G-d in order to create a sustainable system.

We create with G-d because we are in His image.  We partner with Him in order to create with Him.  That is, we are designed to be co-creators with G-d.  In the image of G-d, we were made to be the thing that most resembles Him on this planet and in this universe, and, as a result, we were made to connect with Him in a way that no other created thing ever was.

And THAT whole recognition and the acceptance of THAT celestial reality of grace…
AND THE ALLOCATION of the reality of grace…
and THAT capacity to shift the terrestrial reality based on our King’s known will (on earth just as it is being DONE in heaven)…

…is the gift of G-d that is not by works so that no man can boast.

When we allow grace to flow, we recognize what needs to be shifted thorugh the use of the principles of Scripture and the principles of life, and those things that need to shift will shift.

Grace is the supernatural enablement given by the Holy Trinity that causes us to execute what He wants executed, and to build what He wants us to build.  The Kingdom of G-d is a masculine expression, and it is built by sons.

PART TWO: PEACE, THE GROUNDS FOR EXPERIENCING TSEDEQAH

If grace is the external quality that brings the execution of the Kingdom to the earth, then peace is the internal result of the use of grace in the external.  Peace, which in the Hebrew refers best to “wholeness” is when we are made whole as a result of recognizing the grace of G-d in our reality and walking in accordance with that grace.  Sometimes the grace of G-d is on you to move to Texas for the next five years because Father has a work that needs to be executed.  Sometimes the grace of G-d is on you to be a stay-at-home-parent, not because that is what your kids need, but because that is what Father asked you to do it. Sometimes the grace of G-d is for you to send your kids to public school because G-d has some things to teach them that homeschooling or private schooling cannot teach them.  And G-d. Never. Wastes. An. Opportunity.  Even one that might seem negative or distressing to you, parent who wants to control everything.

Sometimes, where G-d wants you is to allow Him to work.  You find the flow of grace, G-d will overabundantly hammer you to the ground with a massive boatload of peace.  If you resist the grace, then the peace will flee from you, though.

And when we walk in the mishpat of G-d on the external, we will experience the righteousness of G-d on the inside of us (tsedeqah).

G-d is just looking for people who have hearts to find His flow of grace so that His peace can overshadow them, come hell or high water.

“But now thus says the L-RD,

he who created you, O Jacob,

he who formed you, O Israel:

“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;

I have called you by name, you are mine.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;

and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;

when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,

and the flame shall not consume you.

For I am the LORD your God,

the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.

I give Egypt as your ransom,

Cush and Seba in exchange for you.

Because you are precious in my eyes,

and honored, and I love you,

I give men in return for you,

peoples in exchange for your life.

Fear not, for I am with you;

I will bring your offspring from the east,

and from the west I will gather you.

I will say to the north, Give up,

and to the south, Do not withhold;

bring my sons from afar

and my daughters from the end of the earth,”

(Isaiah 43:1–6 ESV)

He will be with us and partner with us, but we must find that grace in order to experience the partnership with Him and in order to be protected by Him.  If we refuse the grace (if G-d has given us grace to do A, when we are seeking to confess the grace to do B, we might find ourselves frustrating the grace of G-d).

But if we will take the grace that G-d gives us, then with that grace, will come the wholeness on the inside.

And when the inside world, and the outside world match in us, when there is grace and peace, then the Principle of Liberty (the Sixth of the Seven Principles) will manifest, and instead of walking as servants or mere slaves, we will be walking as sons.

Hunt for the grace gang, and you will find the peace.

Desecration of the Fractal of Two: From Meagan Mozingo

Meagan writes:

Coming from someone deep in the Bible Belt, well meaning Christians allow dogma to desecrate the infinite divinity of the Most High. We allow dogma to desecrate personal design when we dictate what may or may not be done within areas of our existence that are design features of our spirit which may or may not be excepted by culture.

And I’ll be very clear about one thing- desecrating fractals of two is desecrating Father’s sequential divinity to bring about more life. Arrogance and life don’t coexist because it’s based on a hierarchy of who’s more legitimate. Legitimacy is an extension of Father’s design for His creation and we create dogma around those sequences, structures, offices, and functions when we pull in dogma as our design function. This also extends to those who have been functioning under “a covering” but I call BS. That’s a threshold to stifle cloaked in the dirty word dogma.

“Women can’t be pastors.”

And I’ll also say this- dogma can and will be new political policies that are being enforced in a hyper mercy/cast no judgment sort of thing that only end in a stripping of freedom. Exactly the way dogma has operated by stripping individuals of living freely within their design… pretty much any political agenda (regardless of where you fall on the spectrum) seek to enforce design stripping properties and functions. I see you, NWO.

That’s all for now.

Pliability and Belonging

When I think of belonging, I think of design, what was this _________ designed to do. When I think of fitting in, my mind races with all sorts of images of a two-year-old putting dough into a small crevice. Does the dough fit in the small space? Yeah, but it doesn’t belong there. What belongs there is actually the electrical plug to the lamp on the table, but somehow dough managed to get stuck in the socket.

This is the exact example of our soul understanding the ramifications of pliability. When we are too pliable, we are pushed into spaces that weren’t meant for us to take up space. It isn’t best suited for us. On the other side of the coin, the lamp plug is now without belonging because their space is taken up by an imposter. The lamp is just waiting to emit their brilliance to all things around it, but unable to connect to the source of its design.

Meanwhile, the dough has so many things inside of it that it’s waiting to be turned into a yummy treat for the enjoyment of the 2-year-old. It needs a space to expand and change into something it knows it was meant to become. Unfortunately, it’s stuck in a space that wasn’t it wasn’t designed for.

My question is: are both objects unworthy because they are unable to do or become what they were designed for… OR are they worthy without qualifiers because of their design and they just have yet to find their proper outlet. 😉 (pun intended).

My friend, find the outlet that pairs flawlessly with your design.

From the Desk of Arthur Burk: The Egyptian Heresy

Arthur writes for those not familiar with this topic from the SLG vantage point.

EGYPTIAN HERESY

I got an email today from someone trying to explain this to his church leadership and he asked for a bit more help. I decided to post here, since others might benefit from the explanation.

First of all, it is a term I invented. Each member of the Trinity is directly attacked with a perversion of their essence.

I call the perversion of the work of God the Father, the Edomite Heresy, the perversion of the work of Jesus Christ, the Babylonian Heresy and the perversion of the work of the Holy Spirit, the Egyptian Heresy.

We understand the Holy Spirit to be the mediator of the power of God to change the “laws of nature.” We call it a miracle when someone who is sick with cancer, and should die, according to the normal operation of the medical dynamics, is healed.

The Holy Spirit has full permission to change the laws of science for the glory of God, any time the Spirit wants.

The devil counters that by changing the laws of science for evil purposes. For example, take this verse.

2Co 11:14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. NIV

For those who are practitioners of what is called “Egyptian spirituality” (ten millions hits on Google), their own description of it is “inside out, upside down, backwards.”

One manifestation of the Egyptian Heresy is in the health sector. In terms of medical issues we look for reversed outcomes.

I spoke with a pastor whose wife had been a vegan for 20 years and her cholesterol level was at 600. This is aberrant — an outcome that is opposite of her lifestyle and what we would expect from the laws of science.

I asked whether there was any Freemasonry in her family line and found a 33rd degree Mason as her father. Freemasonry is deeply vested in Egyptian spirituality.

Simply speaking, when I find an effect that is the opposite of what the cause should have been, I expect to find either the Holy Spirit doing a miracle or the devil using some form of Egyptian heresy to pervert the structures God has put in place.
