WOR Blessings 2024, Season A: Reconciled to Community: Blessing 1: From the Desk of Telluride

Beloved,

I call your spirit to attention in the name of Yeshua, and it is appropriate this time for me to do so.

Prophet portion, I call on you, dearest love.

Listen to the Word of G-d for you for today.

Then Jonathan said to the young man who bore his armor, “Come, let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised; it may be that the L-RD will work for us. For nothing restrains the L-RD from saving by many or by few.”

So his armorbearer said to him, “Do all that is in your heart. Go then; here I am with you, according to your heart.”

Then Jonathan said, “Very well, let us cross over to these men, and we will show ourselves to them. If they say thus to us, ‘Wait until we come to you,’ then we will stand still in our place and not go up to them. But if they say thus, ‘Come up to us,’ then we will go up. For the LORD has delivered them into our hand, and this will be a sign to us.”

1 Samuel 14:6–10 NKJV

Johnathan, the Prophet, the son of Saul, the Son of Kish, showed his intensity and his fierceness of devotion to the L-rd, even when outnumbered by hundreds-to-one odds.

Prophet, even though you are oftentimes the most beaten-up; the most hammered-on by the body; the most relentlessly-pursued for your incurable intensity; and the most-reviled for your black-and-white, often-simplistic worldview; beloved, you are also THE ONE that the Redemptive Gift Tribes rely on to get the crazy-ass shit done that NO ONE else will do. With few, you accomplish much.

That is your dignity.

Sure, on the way to accomplishing the ends for which you were designed, you will likely piss off a few admirals, be placed in an impossible situation with few resources, be concerned that you might not be able to help everyone in harm’s way, and fight dark things that others might fear, but with you, you carry one of the greatest assets and resources needed for those dark paths. You carry this as free money, Prophet.

Faith and fearlessness.

You were made for the fight. Hardwired for the war. Designed for the hardest and harshest environments.

So, Prophet, I bless you as you gamble on these principles that are your bread-and-butter.

I bless you to be the rallying point for the community to the fight.

I bless you to be the tip of the sword, and the thorn in the enemy’s flesh.

I bless you to know you were forged for the hardness. And because of that, as a precursor to peace and the gathering of community, you were made to lead the charge and protect those of us who are more vulnerable, and for whom faith and fearlessness are harder to handle.

I also bless your heart to find a safe place, one or two or more people who are a place with whom you can rest.

The heart…safely trusts….and that one shall have no lack of gain.

You were made to have a tough and strong exterior, but you were also made, because you have access to great faith without knowing all ends, a tender heart. I see your heart for the people in your tribe. My darling Prophet, you were made to bring the family together in ways you do not yet understand, in high moral standing, and with ethics etched into your very being.

You are a deep light, Prophet. And the King’s heart yearns for you to see it. The way forward, which is why you see the vision in the distance and handle principles so effectively, so you can extrapolate and see what will be, not by the Spirit or the revelation of the moment, but by your design and hard wiring. Your nature is to solve problems with the principles.

It is different with you than with an office Prophet or the manifestation of prophesying.

For this capacity to believe comes because you weave together principles into building blocks to produce change and to see those results far down the road.

I bless that distance vision and the skill of weaving to be unencumbered. I bless you to have strength for the fight. And I bless you to not worry about whether or not you will be justified in the sight of others, for you know your justification will come in the King’s sight because in the fiber of your being, you have all you need inside of you, coupled with the limited resources outside of you and inside of you to solve the problem of the moment.

Prophet, may you know the King’s love in the name of Yeshua.

Male Faith Vs. Female Faith

“However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find fiath on the earth?

From Luke 18:8

Sometimes you build the platform and then the L-rd repsonds, and sometimes the L-rd just shows up and you respond.

There are two dynamics that run very close, inverse of one another, and yet, we must dance between them on a constant basis as belivers.

We are told, by the one group of believers, that if we attempt to do anything for the kingdom, that “all our righteousness is as filthy rags” (even though He has transformed us (2 Cor. 5:17). What, so Jesus saved us and transformed us from one form of filthy rags into another form of filthy rags?

And we are also told by the other group of beliveers, that if we just wait for the L-rd to act, that we are lazy and not bearing the fruit that is the testimony that we are His followers.

Both camps may not understand one another, but they both adject one another in the kingdom.

See, we were made to engage with both, and not to view one or the other as better or worse than the other.

Some days you are going to feel a GRACE to do something, to build, to get a wild hair and construct something.

And some days you are going to feel a GRACE to sit still and allow Him to be with you.

A grace to work, a grace for kingdom-laden effort where you work with dilligence.

Which has the same source as the grace to not act and to see Him act.

There are going to be days and seasons when you are supposed to construct a platform for the King, to marshall resources, to bolt boards and beams and set foundations and pour concrete and run wire and follow a set of prints.

The grace to manage. And even in the midst of revivals and moves of G-d, people still need to skillfully manage resources and supplies. Just because G-d shows up with miracles and wondrous things does not mean that we can stop all management.

We need to arrive on the other end of a move of G-d having passed the test of successfully handling what was put into our hands to use. And to not be swayed by every single need that tugs on us.

There are days when the revival gives us power and authority.

And some days, the power and authority are to say “NO” to the many needs, so we can say “YES” to the specific needs WE are called to handle. Just because resources fall into your lap does not mean you fritter those resources away on the first begging hand that comes to your door.

Are you capable of blessing those G-d tells you to bless, and also of listening to the King when He says “do not bless that person”?

Are you able to pray when the L-rd says to pray (and when He tells you to pray, He will supply the grace necessary to pray) and refrain when He says to refrain, even from praying?

He has designed you to accomplish a limited number of assignments on this earth and in this season.

So, there is truly a male form of faith, in which we build something and the L-rd responds to us.

And there is a female form of faith, in which we wait for the L-rd’s initiation, and He does something that we receive, and then we respond to Him.

Which season is it for you?

Male faith or female faith?

My challenge to you is this: Don’t merely act with one aspect of faith, assuming your form will be always blessed.

Sometimes you will need to execute what seems to you a foreign form of faith in order to move forward in a seaason.

And I bless you to hear when the music changes, so that your dance step changes.

Some days, we work faith in building a platform.

And other days, we lay in our beds and allow Him the prerogative to initiate.

From….To….

Thank you to my friend in Iowa who helped provide the impetus for this set of posts.

The next few posts, while I am continuing concurrently with my series on Leviathan, will cover some dynamics that I like to refer to as from/to principles.

We are designed, not to remain in addictive sin and in junk, but to emerge and move from one reality into transofrmation that is incremental and substantial. By degrees we were made to leap, not merely crawl, into a place that is, to paraphrase Jack Lewis, “HIGHER up and further in”.

I prefer this way of structuring Lewis’ concept from what I consider to be his substantial flop of a book called “The Last Battle”. Pardon my honest take on that book, because it really did a disservice both to its title and Lewis’ Chronicles of Narnia, when I consider the concept of “battle” in Scripture….

Unless you consider the last battle not to be between Christ and Antichrist, but to be the one we have against sin and death, as we wrestle with recognizing who we are in Meissah and in moving into the place where we are seated with Christ in heavenly places. To the place where we are executing our fight with the clowns from our rightful place as the sons of G-d.

A completely appropriate tune for this process…

We move from being the dregs of the earth to the apostles of Christ (that word for ambassadors in 2 Corinthians 5:20 is, unvarnished, the word apostoloi, the plural of “apostle”).

The apostolic office has not ceased, gang. It dwells in a measure in each of us.

However, most teaching on the fivefold done in the Charismatic movement is a twisted bastard offspring of the spirit of Antichrist.

More on that in several other posts.

Out of the Silence of the Last Season

I got the wind knocked out of me in the last season. I have a friend who did not realize the voice they had, and the extent to which I had encourage them to not hold back but speak in fuller authority that was given them, accuse me of stifling their voice, and as a result, I entered a season of loss where I had to grieve the loss of a friendship. I am still wrestling with that loss, but I have finally begun blessing them, even in the off mindset, and releasing them.

And now, I must continue writing.

The Design of Forward Movement In Seasons….

Believers were made to move forward. Drive, walk, run, fly, crawl if it comes to that, but always to be pressing forward and upward. True, there are emotional and relational valleys into which we must descend for a season, but valleys and seasons of sin are not designed for us.

There are a few dynamics in which we grow ever-forward and ever-upward.

In faith, in depth, in strength, and in glory.

As we move into these ensuing bits, I would like to offer the encouragement that each of you keep pressing and contending in concert with the L-rd against the clowns that would seek to arrest you and oppress you.

Be at peace, gang.

And be reconciled to the L-rd who Purchased Both Heaven and Earth. He purchased both heaven and earth so that you would have a safe place to expand in your life in Him.

With that disclaimer and credit out of the way, onto the heart of the post.

More Than Sincerity….Effectiveness.

It takes more than our own capacity to do something that is the object of our dreams.

In order to take on a dream and to bring it to fruition, we not only have to dream and see the good thing Father has given us. we must also undertake and understand the process by which the dream comes into being.

It is not just something that God merely does without our assistance, or something that just happens.

It takes work….considerable work…on our part, and the setting together of many different principles to cause something to happen.

Bringing a vision to pass is not just about having the vision. It is about writing that vision down, and seeing what parts are your responsiblity, and breaking those parts of yours into measurable principles, weaving together those principles into tasks, and the tasks into something sustainable.

We don’t do more of it faster and harder if it is not working.

Rather, we change our tool, our principle that is not working for one that may work.

We were made for something, and the Lord does not bring it to pass unless….

Moses climbs the mountain.

Solomon forms a political alliance with King Hiram of Tyre.

David kills a lion and a bear.

David sings in the fields with his flocks.

Jesus learns masonry and building construction in the stonemason’s shop.

John the Baptizer dwells in the desert.

Samson keeps his hair long.

Adam communicates to Eve.

Eve comes against the serpent.

The eleven tarry.

Saul asks for Ananias.

Orville and Wilbur understand birdflight.

And make several trips.

And care for their colleagues more than their flying contraption.

And hours of being ridiculed behind closed doors while they experiment behind the bike shop.

We move into our realm of reality.

And stay in a church that does nothing for us.

Or with people that are little more than obstacles.

On the way to an assignment.

And flow outward to a church where you are not fed, but rather you do your work in feeding others.

And remember what He did for you.

Gang, we must move past sincerity, to the place where we embody principles.

Because dreams become reality when vision moves into principles.

Stop being a sincere, slothful idiot (from the Greek idiotes, meaning “unlearned” or “someone who does not understand”).

You were made for more than just drooling and waiting for God to do it.

You were made for partnership with him.

Partnership means you bring some of the resources and capacity to develop skill to the table.
