There are passages that certain groups like to use as cudgels in order to attempt to beat believers into submission on the issue of immigration.
The probelm with those sorts of interpretations is that they rarely differentiate, inmportantly, between legal and illegal.
So, I will briefly cover Leviticus 19:34, the phrase in question, and what it acutally implies. The text reads:
“You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the L-rd your G-d.”
You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you.
Meaning, they were willing to engage with the legal process necessary to walk as citizens. Meaning, not amnesty, but rather, these immigrants were to be treated not merely with the rights, but also the responsibilities due citizens of a nation.
This precludes people coming into the nation of Israel illegally, while rejecting the rule of law. With rights come the responsibilities.
Looking at the situation with Ruth who immigrated from Moab, she clearly took an informal oath of citizenship (Ruth 1:16-17 ESV):
But Ruth said, “Do not urge me to leave you or to return from following you. For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there will I be buried. May the L-RD do so to me and more also if anything but death parts me from you.”
Ruth invokes the COVENANT (legal, law, Torah) name of HaShem here., calling Him “L-RD”. This brings with it the Law of Moses. And coming here legally, includeing Leviticus 19:34, and the history of Egyptians and others that chose to come and celebrate the Passover and the feasts.
Ruth didn’t just steal across the border and ignore Jericho, the city that protected the boundary of the promised land. She said she would become as a citizen and subject herself to the same laws that the L-RD imposed on His people.
Application:
Most memes and arguments that I have seen, and I dare say, you have seen, dear friend, that call believers heartless for ignoring the plight of the immigrant do not make a distinction between those who come here legally and those who come here illegally. But the rule of law and Scripture are both clear.
Observe the principle illustrated in John 10:1.
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the fold of the sheep, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.” (John 10:1 KJV).
Your responsibility in dealing with immigrants is to make a distinction between those who come here legally, and those who come here by some other way.
And your job further is to reject the gaslighting of those who refuse to parse out and handle the nuance between legal and illegal.
The process for coming here is not heartless. Rather, it is designed to protect us from those who would seek to do us harm.
So, beloved, I bless your spirit to be present. Spirit, I bless you to see the King as not cruel nor a heartless taskmaster, but someone who seeks to Shepherd you and in so doing, protect you from wolves and coyotes and those who seek your harm. I bless you to see the ways, all the ways, the King and the Shepherd cares for you. I bless you to know and realize that there are times when people are not allowed in and that system is set in place not to punish any person, but to protect those who are citizens.
I bless you to see the applications not just in geographic masses but also in spiritual kingdoms. There is a reason, spirit, why HaShem filters out and blocks thieves and murderers from coming.
I bless you with purpose and understanding and compassion for those who wish to come in via the Gate, versus those who mean you harm.
I bless your discerment to be sharp as a tack. And I bless you to know the reality of what is required of us as children of the kingdom.
I bless you with a deep revelation of the Love of G-d. And I bless you with a comprehensive revelation of the manifold ways He keeps you safe, spirit.

But when a son of G-d says this, when a follower of the L-rd says this…I begin to take issue.
When a bride of Christ calls themselves a harlot, even after His cleansing, Living Water, Fuller’s Soap and Refining Fire have burned up all the actual filthy rags, it does not befit the Kingdom of G-d for you His son to pick up blood-soaked rags and dress yourself afresh in them.
As if you forgot that He C.L.E.A.N.S.E.D. you Seven ways to Saturday.

Afterward Moses and Aaron went and said to Pharaoh, “Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, ‘Let my people go, that they may hold a feast to me in the wilderness.’” But Pharaoh said, “Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice and let Israel go? I do not know the LORD, and moreover, I will not let Israel go.” Then they said, “The God of the Hebrews has met with us. Please let us go a three days’ journey into the wilderness that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God, lest he fall upon us with pestilence or with the sword.” But the king of Egypt said to them, “Moses and Aaron, why do you take the people away from their work? Spirit, He is the G-d Over The Brickyard, Who Prioritizes Freedom Over Labor Relations. Sit with that reality for a few minutes, spirit. For this May be an unpopular idea at the moment. And there while there are times when the L-rd will sort out what is happening in the brickyard and the field and on the job site and between disparate people, G-d has a strong and vested interest in liberty and if trying to make things easier and more comfortable in the brickyard makes us more comfortable with slavery and less comfortable with the risk associated with freedom, G-d will almost certainly always ignore the brickyard to prime us to be ready to walk in freedom as we grow out of slavery and into sonship.
So, spirit, I bless you to writhe at and be revulsed at the mere though of more bondage.
I bless you to wrestle with and for your liberation from captivity.
I bless you to rest in the strong plans of the G-d of the Brickyard. I bless you to grow dissatisfied with your current state of being, and to increase in your place of design. Spirit, you were made for liberty. You were not designed for the brickyard.
I bless you to endure being refined and proven and tested in the crucible for a fight that awaits a future date.
I bless your capacity to endure hardship and to handle being placed for a season under harsh leadership as you grow with a deeper vision against the day of your release.
I bless you as you are feeling pain and heartache that that pain would not be in vain and the enemy would suffer casualties as a result of your endurance. I bless you, spirit, to grow in “integrity of heart and skillful hands” both as you are working through hard seasons in the brickyards.
I bless you to find rest in The Anchor’s stability.

Beloved, I invite your spirit forward, in Jesus’ name.
Spirit, listen to the Word of G-d for you today
“We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain,”

Spirit, our hope does not twist or turn like a wish as does the worldly forms of hope, as in, “I hope or desire or which this would happen.”.
Spirit that is not the way of G-d or His variety of hope.
I have taught this before, but hope is the root and fuel of everything to do with prophecy and prophets and prophetic gifting or unctions.
Spirit, on of the names of our King, and one of the most ancient of church symbols, is Anchor.
A place that holds fast and grips when thrown into something where it sticks.
Spirit, our hope and our anchor holds within and behind the veil within the spiritual fabric of the Mercy Seat.
We depend upon, and seek, and favor His Mercy Seat
For there you cover
Ev’ry lie I spoke
And ev’ry promise that I’ve broke
And ev’ry dreamer than I’ve woke
The Waiting “The Mercy Seat”
That Mercy Seat full of his Mercies and Mercy is a sure place that will never break apart and will be a deep ocean into which we can drop our anchors.
And He is the anchor, the securing point when everything is awash in turgid maelstrom.
Spirit, I bless you to HOLD FAST.
I bless you to lash your rope to the anchor, when you are roughed-up.
I bless you to find and deeply test the strength of that Anchor.
He wrote his covenant with you because many times He knew there would be entities that would seek to destabilize your ability to trust him.
I bless you to ask the questions and see hard answers to hard questions and to hear His heart honestly.

Shall not the Judge of all the Earth do what is just?
From Genesis 18:25
Spirit, this post is about one of the names of G-d.
That name, “the Judge of all the Earth”, describes G-d in the process of weighing a group of cities for judgment, which simply means “decision”.
And further, Spirit, He is not merely the Judge of one person or people group or one chunk of land. Rather He is the Judge of ALL THE EARTH.
This story of Sodom and Gomorrah and the rest of the cities in the plane was a story about deciding the fate of a piece of land due to, not just the people crying out, but also the land crying out as an entity itself against the distressing injustice occurring within its borders.
G-d can be counted on to hear and handle unjust situations.
He will respond to those who are mistreating others.
He will hear the outcry of victims of all kinds of violence.
He will act and judge and decide switfly when violence happens to his kids.
So, spirit, I bless you to rest in the king’s judgment, and to depend on Him to act with justice.
His idea of justice May differ from you idea of justice, but He will act.
I bless you to trust the King is not slack concerning His promises to act.
I bless you to let go of your ideas of justice and to take on the King’s ideas of justice.
I bless you to rest and observe when a case is taken up by the Judge. I bless you to get curious as to how the Judge handles cases of injustice. And I bless you to watch when justice is rendered in a case that is not yours.
I bless you to not fall apart when the Judge renders a verdict that does not align with your idea of justice.
I bless you to get to know the love of the Judge for you. And I bless you to feel and know the love and affection of the Judge for the land.
I bless you to hear His voice and to see the memos and papers getting marked and the court orders getting signed.
I bless you, spirit, to help others see the Judge’s process of justice.
I bless you to rest on the earth as the Judge metes out His ruling which will affect not only people, but also chunks of land.

The earth is the L-rd’s and the fullness thereof,
the world and those who dwell therein
Psalm 24:1 ESV
Arguments of Futility
I am not in alignment with most of the realm of theology that says “what is the point of stewardship when the L-rd is going to destroy this world anyway? This world is going to burn up and not be redeemed and restored so what is the point.”
That sort of mindset seems to bring with it the baggage of the carelessness and apathy toward the current creation, and it smacks of a prevailing attitude of futility.
I simply cannot get on board with that.
What the L-rd Means.
It occurs to me that the L-rd has a purpose for us here and now and us on the land here and now. I realize the above passages, the first written about the Promised Land, and the second written by a king from the Promised Land, seem to not be written to us, but there is a deeper principle that is worth unpacking, regardless of how we think Revelation should be interpreted, with its account of the destruction of the earth and the appearance of the new heavens and the new earth.
We are placed on this earth, not to allow stuff to happen with zero input from us, but to be redemptive agents of the King as He unpacks the processes in us, and through us, and to us. Through those processes, He redeems and brings us to fullness, and all of creation to fullness and fulfillment.
We are not passive agents, but active agents. We have, in many places been taught to be passive, but that is not the King’s way.
We might have been taught that we are supposed to completely divest ourselves of a hustle-and-grind mindset, and while this is a new season in history both for the kingdom of G-d and for the church, there is a level of intentional behavior we are supposed to take on and keep. True, the King doesn’t primarily work through systems of authority and protocol, or hustle-and-grind, but rather intimacy. However, in this reality, we cannot take that gooshy intimacy to mean we can get rid of being active and industrious and working to impact the world around us. G-d wants us sustained, sustaining, and concieving things that are sustainable.
Sustained
G-d is the one responsible for providing resources to us, and He has given EACH of us something that will enable us to step into a place of provision. That “something” might be a skill, a network of relationships, or the understanding of how to do a task, but in each of us is a means of providing for us.
Sustaining
As we increase from using those tools G-d has give us, we sustain others around us, which includes us taking care of the land that is His, and is a resource to us, given to us to manage for Him. If that means you spend time with the land blessing it or using a shovel and gardening tools to cultivate it in the spring; or a lawn mower to make money in the summer; or a snowblower in the winter; or a rake in the fall; or wine, salt, and oil combined with the spoken word in the season of desperation to free the land; or seeding the soil, or planting plants, flowers for the pollinators, or vegetables and fruits for your family, or working with the portals on your land, all sorts of things can be done to help sustain others around you.
Sustainable
On the seventh day, when G-d rested, we hear about how He sanctified time and made it holy, which is the first time that word “holy” is mentioned, but we also may miss what else is happening because it is not spelled out in the canon for us, so we have to feel and sense and know what else that is unreported, yet is happening, in the gap between Genesis 1:31 and Genesis 2:4.
Can you hear the hum of the bees and the stretch of the grass, and the fluttering and seed cracking of the birds, and the song of the whales and the Leviathans in the oceans, and the rattles of pit vipers, and the stroke of whale flukes, and the groaning yaws of mid-ocean ridges, and the flowing of springs as the boils crackle with ice-cold water as the surfaces of the waters are disturbed and stirred?
Can you hear the starsongs as the hosts proclaim the justice of the crucifixion as those sounds of light, darkness, groaning, laments, laughing, forgiveness, and the sound of the hammerstrikes and the execution of pericardial effusion echo through the hum of creation as the Son’s first reality pierces the Holy Peace of Eden?
The portals each echo with some dynamic of that deathsong and subsequent lifesong, because they are the foundations of the earth, and the Son’s work impacts the holding points between the foundations and each of those portals.
The Light Portals weep over the loss of light and shine all the more brightly in celebration over the Lamb’s Victory that is coming and as warfare against the outer darkness.
The Weather Portals and the Water Portals feel the invisible flow of realities we call air masses moving, producing winds and humidity movement, as they produce the various manifestations we see along fronts, and they know the deluge that approaches, and they feel the tension, though rain has not yet happened.
The Fragrance Portals sense the deep things of the Riddles of G-d as the Lion sings creation into existence with her fragrant wisteria, stargazer lillies, apple blossoms, citrus blossoms, roses, and over flora, and they wait for the Son to flick the combiation, as the ingredients of the bread dough are kneaded together and milled and fermented in order to unlock the full rising of the Kingdom.
The Time Portals know what is present, past, and future, and days of future already past, and so they spiral to show a broader picture.
The Sound Portals Fill their vicinity with the voices of the hosts of heaven who illustrate truths from reality about the Son’s rightful place given his past suffering that root the newly-reborn world.
The Earth Gates open wide to permit the movement of celestial messengers trafficking in Freedom and Righteousness as they systematically execute the will of the One Who Sent them.
And the Mist Portals, well, those provided pockets of rest for those who need a Sabbath rest.
And as we are present now, we must see that in creation, there was created a hum of sustainability that is disproportionate to the hard work that was sown into the creation.
And we work to repeat that sustainability elsewhere.
Not as a devil-may-care, “I-don’t-give-a-damn” what happens to creation, but as a Son of the G-d of the Land Now, we use this reality now as a lab to unpack our fullness, rejecting the idea of futility, and the encroaching heresy “It’s already all been decided, so what change can I have” nonsense.
And we step out as agents of the G-d of the Land Now, and we engage with the Land NOW, and we do not stop until WE. ARE. FULLY. UNPACKED. The point is, as we work to unpack land, we are ourselves digging into us and unpacking and healing and restoring our treasures. The work with land does redeem and restore the creation now, but it also is a tool by which Father shows us and helps us in ourseves.
And those of us with a creation calling, reject this nonsense of “there is no point”.
Because that “there-is-no-point” mindset belongs on the lake of fire together with all of those rebellious Leviathans that rejected the seven pillars of wisdom and so found themselves hurled from the King’s presence.
If you will stand, gang, with the seven pillars of Wisdom in your right hand, and work with creation, you will see more keenly the G-d of the Land Now.
The following blessing can be useful for anyone, but I am particuarly focusing it to those who are designed to work with land.
A Blessing
So, I bless you, spirit, to find the G-d of the Land Now. I bless you to hear Him as He shows you the soil not just of His intentions for creation now, but also for you now. I bless you to find all that He has made for you in creation and the land He has for you now.
Proverbs 31:16 says that we consider a field and buy it.
That means each of you are meant to interact with land on some level. That may not mean that land is your primary purpose, but you are still made for land on some level.
I bless you to unpack the kingdom in you and in the land to the degree you were made to unpack it.
I bless you, spirit, to know which portions of you are made for the land in which you find yourself.
I bless you to turn your face to Father and know what tools He means for you to sow into and reap from the land.
I bless you to know the Redemptive Gift of the land where you are.
I bless you to resist and fight and war against the spirit of futility.
I bless you to renounce the judgments that are leveled against you because your love for land is “getting in the way of the important work of dealing with winning lost souls of humanity to the L-rd”. Spirit, you are not crazy. You are doing what you were made to do.
I bless you to see land where you are and where you go redeemed.

I bless you to feel and experience the pleasure of the Holy Spirit as you work at restoring the land to the L-rd’s original design.

Blessing of Stillness #23: Father of Lights
Beloved,
I would like to invite your spirit to be present to hear the word of the L-rd for today.
Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
James 1:16-17 ESV
Spirit, there is a place of stillness, before the Father brings His light into your life, where the enemy may send darkness. But that darkness is a lie. It is a deception.
I begin the blessing in this way, not so you are frightened to step into the sequence leading to the ultimate blessing of love, but rather so you are aware of the risks associated with moving toward the Father of Lights.
I bless you to find the space that is necessary to allow your discernment time to adjust to the current circumstances. You are allowed to take time to discern. You need not feel pressure to rush as you are engaging an exercise of spiritual discernment.
After the L-rd’s promise to our father Abraham, the first thing that happened, after a season of not bearing children, was the movement toward dark solutions. Sarai offered up her maidservant Hagar to Abraham, ostensibly to provide the child of promise. And for a moment, I imagine Abraham probably froze and thought, “wait a minute. what about the promises of G-d?”
And then after that moment had passed, when Sarai had prevailed upon him, Abram took Hagar and married her and immediately produced a child. He probably thought this was the provision because of the suddenness of the conception and birth.
However, it was that birth that sowed jealousy and discord between the women in the home.
Spirit, the promise of the Father does not come because we help G-d out; His solutions to a problem never involve something that will intentionally breed jealousy as a product.
It is true that people may grow jealous because of the gifts G-d gives us, but G-d never blesses us with the intention of causing other people to stumble and fall.
Ishmael, who came first, was the false hope and the false light.
Ishmael was the plan of the enemy to supplant Father’s ultimate plan, which involved Sarai being blessed in her womb, thus breaking the curse of barrenness.
Isaac was the true child of promise, and it was his presence that gave life to Sarai’s womb.
Spirit, I encourage you to apply that here.
You will have the opportunity to engage with the false light and the true light. The false light frequently comes first.
And you will have the opportunity to choose. You will have the chance to ask Father to show you what the counterfeit looks like, as well as the real.
If you will ask Father, he will show you both the true and examples of the false.
Spirit, when that initial and maybe scary or intimdating moment of darkness comes, I bless you to be still and stay put and await the light of Father to radiate into your own life. I bless you to be still even when darkness is what you see and even when counterfeit light is provided to you. I bless you when you are thirsty for the true light, with a stubbornness of resistance to every false light that seeks to destabilize you.
I bless you to remain absolutely still and I bless you to breathe deeply.
Spirit, I bless you deeply with the capacity to wait on the L-rd’s solution and His life. I bless you to move when that light-filled solution comes, while remaining still when the enemy counterfeit comes. I bless you to drink deeply of that light and to absorb it into the light that you are, spirit. And I bless you to shine with that light in its multi-faceted wisdom to others in need, as Father directs you to hand it out to them.
I bless you to be what you are, the prism, the diamond, and the crystal through which His brilliant light is broken apart into its full spectrum. I bless your season to bathe in and be healed by the Light that does not shift, change, or vary. I bless you with the revelation that His light is possessed not just with consistency, but also constancy.
As William Shakespeare once uttered the principle that was meant to be uttered by the King of Glory:
“I AM constant as the Northern Star”.
The Father of Lights is fixed between all dimensions, in all realities, and he does not vascillate. He is not wishy-washy. Even should the guide stars and parallaxes and pulsars and red giants fall from their places where they were placed on the Fourth Day, He will not be moved from his place of steadiness. He is constant beyond the constant of light, spirit. He is the Radiance of all light that is.
And just because he is constant and immovable does not mean that His heart is not moved when one of his children is hurting or destroyed or damaged or beaten.
To the contrary, He does move toward them. But He moves, spirit, with an anchoredness. He will not be shaken.
And He is not merely the Northern Star. Rather, and better, he is the G-d of the Seven Stars.
And I bless you not to be shaken when confronted with counterfeit light. I bless you to be gathered by the true Light of Father’s affectionate and warm countenance.
I bless you with SHARP discernment to know the difference between lights, and to welcome the Father of Lights, who will not force Himself on you, but will wait for your invitation and who also offers you an invitation.
Be at peace, spirit, and receive the blessing of the Father of Lights.
I bless you to know that the Father of Lights is not shifty or shady. He does not tell you He will provide something, and then not follow through. He gives what He says he is going to give.
I bless you with a relationship with the Father of Lights that is free of deception. I bless you, if you have previously taken the bait of offense, to rest in His light as He removes all hooks from your mouth, all snares from your feet, all chains from your arms, and all shrapnel from your body.
I bless you to rest and heal in the warmth of His Light.
I bless the scales to be removed from your eyes, spirit, as you follow His path and through His gate, which is narrow.
I bless you to traverse the high places which might have unexpected turns with the Light of His steady presence and affection.
I bless you to know that He allows the crooked paths and in partnership with You, makes those paths as if they were straight, and He is your guide.
I bless you with the knowledge that the Father of Lights is a better, more accurate, and way more surefooted guide than any sherpa on Everest.
I bless you to enter into His ever-rest.
I bless you, spirit with a life that is unplugged from unsustainable covenants and agreements with darkness, and I bless you with the freedom that comes from the one-sided covenant He made with you, that does not have any hidden clauses or gotcha statements or fine print with exceptions and signing statements.
I bless you with a relationship with Father that is free from guile and duplicity.
I bless every path you traverse with sure-footedness.
I bless you that as you submit to His plan, He will transform you from glory to glory, and from strength to strength.
I bless you to stand in His light, and I bless you to flow with Him in peace, and even when you are climbing and healing and running and resting, to be in a place of stillness that keeps you rock-steady in His light and in wholeness and peace.
I bless you with peace in the midst of readiness.
And I bless you with stillness in the midst of discerning between the real and the false.
I bless you with those things in the name of Yeshua ha-Meshiach.
And most importantly, I bless you to fall in love afresh with the G-d of the Seven Stars.
