Blessing 18: WOR Blessing: The G-d Who Restrains Us From Battle: Deuteronomy 2:9

Beloved, I invite your spirit forward.

Spirit, listen to the word of G-d for you for today:

“….do not harass Moab or contend with them in battle…”

Spirit, there are times when we wrestle with clowns and other forces of darkness.

But there are times when the L-rd has for us not to fight, but to rest and do nothing. This particular text deals with Moab, who grew to dread Israel and whose king, Balak, eventually asked Balaam to come and curse Israel. That said, the L-rd at the time He is recounting 2:9, told the Israelites not to contend with Moab.

Spirit, I beseech you to listen to the King for not only his battle plan, but also his agenda for rest and refraining from fighting.

I bless you to know that just because you see Someone who looks like an enemy does not mean that that person is an enemy. I bless you to have sharp discernment in this area. I’m blessed to know when your commander is instructing you to fight and when he is not instructing you to fight.

I bless you to see and restrain when you are instructed to restrain.

I bless you to know when to contend versus when to rest.

I bless you to know the difference between a warfare as a means of legitimacy and warfare that is strategic out of a place of humility.

I bless you to know when and with whom you should contend in a specific season.

I bless you to reject the enemy’s agenda for warfare. Especially given that clowns will keep you busy if you let them.

I bless you to relentlessly hunt for the L-rd’s agenda for warfare.

I bless you to know that G-d created literal snakes and called them good on the fifth or the sixth day. And I bless you to know that not every snake you see either in the spirit or in reality is wicked.

I bless you to know when to restrain your hand from war and when to engage in warfare.

I bless you to respond to the King’s signals and to avoid reacting to the enemy everytime they want to harass you.

I bless you to walk in self-control regardless of what may seem to be happening in your situation. And to attack as the L-rd gives you instructions or as you know you should war.

Spirit, I bless you to get comfortable with feeling out the rhythms involved in warfare.

Some you will absolutely respond to everytime.

And some you will wait for the King’s call to fight.

Be at sufficient wholeness and peace to know when you are supposed to act and when you are supposed to refrain.

In the name of Yeshua.

Blessing 5: Window of Reconciliation: Reconciled to G-d: September 2021

Beloved, I would like to invite your spirit forward to connect with me.

Spirit, listen to the Word of G-d for you for today.

Shall not the Judge of all the Earth do what is just?

From Genesis 18:25

Spirit, this post is about one of the names of G-d.

That name, “the Judge of all the Earth”, describes G-d in the process of weighing a group of cities for judgment, which simply means “decision”.

And further, Spirit, He is not merely the Judge of one person or people group or one chunk of land. Rather He is the Judge of ALL THE EARTH.

This story of Sodom and Gomorrah and the rest of the cities in the plane was a story about deciding the fate of a piece of land due to, not just the people crying out, but also the land crying out as an entity itself against the distressing injustice occurring within its borders.

G-d can be counted on to hear and handle unjust situations.

He will respond to those who are mistreating others.

He will hear the outcry of victims of all kinds of violence.

He will act and judge and decide switfly when violence happens to his kids.

So, spirit, I bless you to rest in the king’s judgment, and to depend on Him to act with justice.

His idea of justice May differ from you idea of justice, but He will act.

I bless you to trust the King is not slack concerning His promises to act.

I bless you to let go of your ideas of justice and to take on the King’s ideas of justice.

I bless you to rest and observe when a case is taken up by the Judge. I bless you to get curious as to how the Judge handles cases of injustice. And I bless you to watch when justice is rendered in a case that is not yours.

I bless you to not fall apart when the Judge renders a verdict that does not align with your idea of justice.

I bless you to get to know the love of the Judge for you. And I bless you to feel and know the love and affection of the Judge for the land.

I bless you to hear His voice and to see the memos and papers getting marked and the court orders getting signed.

I bless you, spirit, to help others see the Judge’s process of justice.

I bless you to rest on the earth as the Judge metes out His ruling which will affect not only people, but also chunks of land.

I bless you with that revelation in the name of Yeshua.

Woundedness, Healing, and Walking in Principles

Sometimes, the L-rd wants to heal something sovereignly.

Sometimes we have a broken wrist or a gimpy foot or we are blind in an eye

And those are for the glory of G-d to be demonstrated.

And his disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”

John 9:2 (ESV)

And expecting someone to function normally with a compromised wrist or foot or eye is going to eventually breed futility.

The L-rd wants to heal those.

But sometimes we are faced with a problem where we have a muscle that is atrophied from disuse.

And the L-rd expects us to engage in intentional behavior and to begin the process that will eventually make something happen. But for that to happen, we must do something besides waiting for His intervention.

We are, after all, engaged in a partnership with the King.

Our portion and responsibility are to test situations so that we may discern which is the flavor of a situation.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Romans 12:2 ESV

So, gang, what is going on in your situation?

And what is your portion?

A Caveat

I realize some may not be able to hear His voice for whatever reasons. And for those, I would suggest partnering with someone you trust who CAN hear and can help you and will walk and lean into the the problem of hearing with you.

No fear. No condemnation.

Be blessed as you engage in these puzzles, gang.

WHAT?!?!?!? A/K/A The G-d Who Gives Us Real Choices…And a Bit O’ Daigle

and said to Moses, “You speak to us, and we will listen; but do not let God speak to us, lest we die.”

Exodus 20:19 (ESV)

Question:  What is worse than not being able to hear G-d?
Answer:  Being able to hear G-d clearly and rejecting what He has to say.
You will read this a hundered different times in the average evanglical Sunday School classroom, and still it is possible to miss G-d’s heart for His people.
G-d clearly spoke, and the people of Israel clearly heard His voice.  The problem here is that they did not want to hear His voice anymore.
The commands could have been too harsh-sounding to them, they could have imposed to much on the independent spirit of this Giver nation that liked to be in control, or they could have just thought, great, another master, and we have just gotten over our PTSD.
Whatever the issue, they basically told G-d to stop speaking to them.
And that is heartbreaking.
It is heartbreaking for the Father of Lights, to have created His people, and for His people to say, “we do not want this thing called relationship with You.  Moses, the Exhorter, is much more user-friendly and approachable.   He is easier to grumble against (Ex 15:24, 16:2, 17:3). We will speak with him.”
But the moment they stop wanting to hear the L-rd’s voice, out of a religious spirit, which is part of the Giver DNA, then trouble begins to happen, and it culminates for this same people in Numbers 13, where they reject the command of G-d to enter the Promised Land.
And my question for us today is, “have you rejected hearing His voice recently?”
In keeping with the spirit of Chanukah, have you rejected the deep voice of G-d?  Have you chosen the shallow, partial, incomplete, and familiar voice of what you think is the fullness of His voice instead of hunting for the complete fullness is?  You spirit knows when you have rejected that voice in some season or matter.
If so, I am being G-d’s prophet and exhorting you to repent, renounce your covenant with the Spirit of Deafness, and with Darkness, and come back into the light so you can do business with G-d.  Not with religion, not with denomination.  Your Father.  He has things He wants to speak to you.  Some of those things are fun.  Some of those things are joyous.  And some of those things are hard and sobering.
But He does want to speak to you, dearly beloved.
And now, I have some repenting to do…
The alternative is the Canaanite Iron Bowl, a structure that enforces your inability to hear G-d in not only the areas where you have rejected Him, but also in the areas where you want to hear Him.
Some of y’all have flat rejected His counsel concerning relationships.  He has given some of y’all free will when it comes to a relationship and has told some of y’all, “You will be blessed if you move into this relationship, but I am not forcing you into this relationship.  You are not required to have this relationship.  But if you want it, I a completely fine with it.”
Some of y’all are so gung-ho about “obeying G-d” and wanting to know “the will of G-d”, that you cannot fathom the idea of G-d treating you like a son and giving you free will in a matter.
And you need to get used to the fact of not only being able to hear and accept the command of G-d, but also the times when G-d gives you a choice that he will bless, either way you go.
Some of you need to quit assuming that G-d’s a binary “yes and no” machine only, and need to get into, nay, dive into, and dig into, the G-d Who Gives Us Real Choices.
Discern when G-d has something clear to say for you to obey, versus when G-d has a choice for you to make and really is okay with the choice you make.

AND WHILE WE ARE AT IT…ESCAPING THE SNAKES DEN
And while I am at it, let me jump on the concept of Lauren Daigle briefly, and remind the church of something.
It was not a failure on her part, what she said about homosexuality being a sin.
Here is what it was, gang.
She was avoiding the trap of a snakes’ den.
Oh, I am sorry that offends some of y’all.
Unfortunately, some followers of Christ are so rabid for every public figure to denounce this or that sin, that our idolatry when it comes to holding one sin above all others for examination has kept us from the place of “being wise as a serpent”.
Daigle did just that.
Some of the church needs to get a freaking grip.
Some times, we need to recognize when the culture is setting us up for a trap, and ignore the trap.
Sometimes, we need to avoid some conversations, because there is bait involved.
The church in some places, has royally sucked at not taking the bait.
And it is our job to learn which unfruitful conversations to avoid.
Let me close with my paraphase of some of Paul’s final words to Timothy.
Avoid idiotic arguments that lead to more jackassery.Screen Shot 2018-12-05 at 5.55.53 AM
Gang, enough of our putting pearls out there before swine.
And good on Daigle for following Paul’s advice letter-perfect, and for increasing in Matthew 10:16 authority.
More of us would do well to emulate that principle.
Instead of wasting our time making rushing to worship at the altar of denouncing every sin.
Go right ahead if that (stoning believers without pondering their motives) is how you want to spend your time on earth.
But that will not build a lasting ministry in this Mercy season.

ἄφες τοὺς νεκροὺς θάψαι τοὺς ἑαυτῶν νεκρούς.

For those that cannot read the above text, here is some help.

νεκροὺς (necrous) means “dead” and θάψαι (thapsai) means “I bury”.

Sometimes we need to quit arranging funerals.  We are living, gang.  And some wish to go on acting like they are dead.
